Posted by Bundor valve
There are many people who don't know the difference between PTFE coated butterfly valve and rubber coated butterfly valve. In this article, we will introduce it for you.

First of all, the PTFE coated butterfly valve and rubber coated butterfly valve are distinguished by their different sealing materials. Their sealing materials are different, and their application occasions are also different. The PTFE coated butterfly valve is generally used in the environment with corrosive medium, while the rubber coated butterfly valve is mostly used in the medium condition of weak acid and weak alkali such as water.

The sealing materials in the rubber coated butterfly valve are:

Applicable temperature of Natural Rubber (NR): - 10 ℃ ~ 85 ℃;

Applicable temperature of Butadiene Rubberr (BR): - 10 ℃ ~ 85 ℃;

Applicable temperature of Isobutylene Isoprene Rubber (IIR): - 10 ℃ ~ 120 ℃;

Applicable temperature of Chloroprene Rubber (CR): - 10 ℃ ~ 105 ℃;

The sealing materials in the PTFE coated butterfly valve are:

Applicable temperature of FEP (F46) - 85 ℃ ~ 150 ℃;

Applicable temperature of PTFE (F4): - 200 ℃ ~ 180 ℃;

Applicable temperature of PCTEF(F3) - 195 ℃ ~ 120 ℃;

Applicable temperature of RPP: - 14 ℃ ~ 80 ℃;

Applicable temperature of PVC: 0 ℃ - 55 ℃;

Applicable temperature of PVDF (F2) : - 70 ℃ ~ 100 ℃;

Applicable temperature of PO: - 58 ℃ ~ 80 ℃.
