Introduction of commonly used valves in sewage pipelines
Commonly used valves in sewage pipelines are: gate valves, butterfly valves, ball valves, globe valves, pressure reducing valves, check valves, drain valves, and so on.These types of valves each of which has what characteristic?Bundorvalve will introduce to you.
Gate valve: It is mainly used as a cut-off medium in the sewage pipeline, and the gate valve cannot be used as a flow adjustment. It can be used for low temperature pressure or high temperature and high pressure, and can be based on different materials of the valve. However, gate valves are generally not used in pipelines that transport mud and other media. Knife gate valves can be used instead of ordinary gate valves.
Butterfly valve: simple structure, small size, light weight, low consumables, can be used on large-diameter sewage pipelines; in addition, butterfly valves can be used for media with suspended solid particles, and can also be used for powder and granular media according to the strength of the sealing surface. At present, butterfly valvesit is widely used in sewage discharge pipelines of metallurgy, light industry, electric power, and petrochemical systems.
However, due to the limitation of the structure of the butterfly valve and the sealing material, it is not suitable for use in high temperature and high pressure piping systems. The general working temperature is below 300 ℃ and below PN40.In addition, the sealing performance is poorer than that of ball valves and globe valves.
Ball valve: It evolved from a plug valve. Its opening and closing part is a ball, which uses the ball to rotate 90° around the axis of the valve stem to achieve the purpose of opening and closing. The ball valve is mainly used to cut off, distribute and change the direction of the medium flow in the pipeline. The ball valve designed as a V-shaped opening also has a good flow adjustment function.
Shut-off valve: Because the opening or closing stroke of the valve stem of this type of valve is relatively short, and it has a very reliable cut-off function, and because the change of the valve seat port is proportional to the stroke of the valve disc, it is very suitable for flow adjustment. Therefore, this type of valve is very suitable for cutting off or regulating and throttling on sewage pipelines.
Pressure reducing valve: It is a valve that reduces the inlet pressure to a certain required outlet pressure through adjustment, and relies on the energy of the medium itself to automatically maintain a stable outlet pressure.
Check valve: The main function of the pipeline system is to prevent the backflow of the medium, prevent the pump and the drive motor from reversing, and the discharge of the container medium.Check valves can also be used to supply pipelines where the pressure of the auxiliary system may rise above the system pressure.
Blowdown valve: two functions, one is to discharge the scale and sludge accumulated in the boiler; the other is to discharge residual water when the boiler is full of water or when the boiler is shut down for cleaning.Common blowdown valves are two types: plug blowdown valve and gate blowdown valve.
