Soft seal butterfly valve is one of the common butterfly valve types.It is a valve with simple structure and easy operation.It is mainly composed of valve body, valve stem, butterfly plate and sealing ring.The inside of the valve body is a cylindrical shape with built-in butterfly plate.Soft seal butterfly valve sealing usually has two kinds of composition, one is the sealing pair is composed of non-metallic soft material to non-metallic soft material.Still have one kind is sealing pair by metal hard material to nonmetallic soft material composition.

Soft seal butterfly valve sealing ring seat material, the most commonly used is ethylene-propylene diene rubber, nitrile rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene plastic three.

Epdm seat material for the soft sealing butterfly valve is usually less than 2.5Mpa pressure, temperature in the working environment of -50~80℃, the applicable medium including salt, acid, metal coating solution, water, wet chlorine gas.With nitrile rubber as seat material, the soft-seal butterfly valve usually works in the working environment of pressure less than 2.5mpa and temperature between -10 ℃ and 90℃. The applicable medium is water, oil, waste liquid, etc.Soft seal butterfly valve with ptfe as seat material, in the pressure is less than or equal to 1.6mpa, temperature -196~200℃ environment, the suitable medium has heat resistance, cold resistance, general chemicals and solvents and most of the liquid.

Soft seal butterfly valve has the advantage of good sealing performance, can achieve zero leakage.The disadvantage is that it is not resistant to high temperature, high pressure, and the sealing surface is easy to be eroded by the flowing medium, the service life is short.Soft seal butterfly valve features are as follows:
