What valves do fire water systems use?The common valves of fire water system are soft seal gate valve, signal butterfly valve, signal gate valve, check valve, ball valve, solenoid valve, globe valve.Each type of valve plays a different role in the fire water system.
Soft seal gate valve
Soft seal gate valve is the most commonly used valve product in the water system, its sealing performance is very good, mainly used to cut off the flow of water in the pipeline.Soft seal gate valve is an essential valve in the fire water system pipeline.
Signal butterfly valve
The signal butterfly valve is a common butterfly valve with a set of signal lines and connected to the fire alarm host together with the monitoring module. The indicator light of the signal (input module) module is always on when the valve is closed, and the indicator light of the signal module is shining when the valve is normally opened.The signal butterfly valve in fire fighting is the switch in the fire fighting pipe network, because the water in the fire fighting pipe network must be kept unblocked, so as to ensure the timeliness of fire fighting. Therefore, once the signal butterfly valve is closed, the signal module will report feedback information to the host to inform the monitoring center that the fire fighting pipe network is closed.The open and close of the ordinary butterfly valve can not be known by the alarm host, can only be viewed on site.
The check valve
Check valves allow medium to flow only in one direction and prevent the opposite direction of flow.Usually this valve is automatic work, under the action of fluid pressure in a direction of flow, the valve disc open, fluid flow in the opposite direction, by the fluid pressure and the valve disc since the overlap of the valve seat, so as to cut off the flow.It is installed on the fire control pipe system to prevent water backflow and ensure the safety of pipeline equipment.
