How to judge the switch status of butterfly valve

Posted by Bundor valve
Question: Hello Bundor Valve, what does the butterfly valve look like when it is open and how does it look like it is closed? The manual butterfly valve has been installed on the pipeline, and it is not clear whether it is open or closed. How to judge whether the manual butterfly valve is open or closed?
Answer: Manual butterfly valve has two operation modes, one is handle operation, also called handle butterfly valve; the other is manual operation. The other is worm gear driven, also called worm gear operated butterfly valve.
The method of opening or closing the handle butterfly valve is very simple. Look at the position of the handle. The handle is perpendicular to the pipe, which means it is closed. If the handle is parallel to the pipe, the butterfly valve is now open.
The worm gear butterfly valve will turn the handwheel to control the valve opening and closing. We cannot judge whether the butterfly valve is open or closed by the handwheel. However, there will be a dial and a pointer on the top of the turbine box, which can clearly tell you what state the butterfly valve is in, namely open or closed, half open and half closed.
Attachment: the function of butterfly valve
1. When the butterfly valve is used under special working conditions with throttling adjustment, or strict sealing requirements, or severe wear, low temperature (cryogenic) and other working conditions, a special designed metal sealing belt adjustment device with three eccentric or double eccentric is required Dedicated butterfly valve for ground.
2. The metal-to-metal wire sealing double eccentric butterfly valve is suitable for urban heating, gas, water supply and other gas, oil, acid and alkali pipelines, as a regulating and throttling device.
3. The butterfly valve is suitable for fresh water, sewage, sea water, salt water, steam, natural gas, food, medicine, oil products that require complete sealing, zero gas test leakage, high life requirements, and working temperature between -10 degrees and 150 degrees, various acid, alkali and other pipelines.
