Pneumatic butterfly valve manual and principle

Posted by Bundor valve
Pneumatic butterfly valve is a control component on the industrial production pipeline. It is an automatically controlled valve and does not require manual operation. Therefore, this type of valve is usually used in an environment that is not suitable for manual operation. Pneumatic butterfly valves are also widely used, and are used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy and other industries.
Principle of Pneumatic Butterfly Valve
The pneumatic butterfly valve absorbs dry and lubricated gas through positioners, solenoid valves and other equipment, and then transmits these gases to the cylinder of the pneumatic actuator to form the gas source for the pneumatic actuator. When the gas source in the cylinder is introduced In the air chamber of the pneumatic actuator, the air pressure acts on the piston, and the generated thrust drives the output shaft to rotate, and at the same time drives the valve stem and the disc to rotate, thereby completing an opening and closing action of the butterfly valve. Adding a valve positioner to the pneumatic butterfly valve can also realize the precise opening adjustment of the butterfly valve. In addition, an intelligent positioner can also be used to connect to the field bus, so as to achieve the purpose of detecting the working status of the pneumatic butterfly valve and providing diagnosis.
Maintenance of pneumatic butterfly valve
Cylinder maintenance: The cylinder in the pneumatic device of the pneumatic butterfly valve should be cleaned regularly, and the cylinder shaft should be regularly refueled. Almost every half a year, the end cover of the cylinder must be opened to inspect the inside of the cylinder. The inspection items include whether there is any debris in the cylinder, whether there is moisture, and what is the state of the grease. If it is found that the grease is lacking, the cylinder should be disassembled, a thorough cleaning should be done, and then the grease should be added.
Maintenance of the valve body: Check the valve body of the pneumatic butterfly valve every other cycle, and fix it for about 6 months in a cycle. The inspection and maintenance of the valve body include whether the valve body is in good appearance, whether the flange end connected to the pipeline is leaking, whether the sealing performance of the valve sealing surface is good, whether there is any abrasion, the rotation of the disc is not flexible, and whether the valve is stuck with foreign matter. Once any problem is found, repair it and replace it.
