Valve body is the support of the whole butterfly valve, several common materials according to the performance of gray cast iron, nodular cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel material performance is the best.  

Stem in the body, connected with the butterfly valve transmission device and butterfly plate, by driving the transmission device to drive the stem rotation, stem and butterfly plate to do rotation, to realize the opening and closing of the valve, stem material usually use stainless steel.  

Valve seat and butterfly plate, are in direct contact with the medium inside the pipe parts, received the media erosion and corrosion is the largest,  

Butterfly plate material is the most common of two kinds: ductile iron and stainless steel.
