Reasons and treatment methods for valve not being closed tightly
Posted by Bundor valve
In the process of using the valve, there are often some problems that are puzzling, such as the valve is not tightly closed, what should we do? Under normal circumstances,if the valve is not closed tightly, check to see if the valve is closed in place,if there is still leakage after it has been closed in place and cannot be sealed, then check the sealing surface,the sealing pairs of some valves are removable, so take them out for grinding and test again.Of course, if the valve is still not closed tightly, it must be returned to the factory for maintenance or replacement of the valve, so as to avoid affecting the normal use of the valve and the occurrence of working condition accidents and other problems.
If the valve is not closed tightly, first find out where the problem occurs, and then solve it according to the corresponding methods.There are several reasons why the valve cannot be closed tightly:
1.There are impurities stuck in the sealing surface,debris deposited at the bottom of the valve or pad between the valve disc and the valve seat;
2.The valve rod thread is rusted and the valve cannot rotate;
3.The sealing surface of the valve is damaged, resulting in medium leakage;
4.The connection between the valve rod and the valve clack is not good, so that the valve clack and the valve seat are not in close contact.
The treatment of the valve cannot be closed tightly:
1.The sealing surface of the valve is stuck by impurities
The valve sometimes fails to close tightly suddenly,which may be due to impurities stuck between the sealing surface of the valve,at this time, do not force the valve to close. You should open the valve slightly, and then try to close it,generally can be excluded.Otherwise, check it, and keep the quality of the medium clean.
2.The valve rod thread is rusted
For the valve normally in the open state, when it is closed occasionally,due to the valve rod thread has rusted,it may not be closed tightly.In this case, the valve can be opened and closed several times, and the valve can be closed tightly by tapping the bottom of the valve body with a small hammer at the same time, without grinding and repairing the valve.
3.The valve sealing surface is damaged
If the switch cannot be closed tightly after several attempts, the sealing surface has been damaged and should be reported for repair;Or the sealing surface is damaged by corrosion or particles in the medium, which should also be reported for repair.
4.The connection between valve rod and disc is not good
Add lubricating oil to the valve rod and valve rod nut frequently to ensure the flexibility of valve opening and closing. A set of formal maintenance plan is required.
