What is the difference between a check valve and a butterfly valve?Check valves are opened and closed by medium force, fluid can only flow in one direction.Butterfly valve belongs to the shutoff valve, open and close by external force to carry out, and two-way can be installed.In addition check valve and butterfly valve characteristics are not the same.
Check valve features

It is widely used in gas pipelines and waterways of metallurgical, light industry, electric power, petrochemical system, etc.
Disadvantages:
(1)the flow adjustment range is not large, when open up to 30%, the flow will enter more than 95%;
(2)Because of the structure of butterfly valve and the limitation of sealing materials, it is not suitable for high temperature and high pressure piping system.General working temperature below 300℃, PN40 below;
(3)Sealing performance relative to the ball valve, globe valve is poor, so it is used for sealing requirements are not very high places.
